Refunds and cancellation

Last updated: [date of approval]

How cancelling works, when we refund a payment, and how to ask.

1.In short

You can cancel at any time and keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for. Your printed codes keep working afterwards. We refund payments made in error, and wherever the law gives you the right to a refund.

2.Cancelling your plan

Workspace owners can cancel in the app under Settings → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current monthly or yearly period, and you can resume before then.

When the period ends, the workspace moves to the Free plan. Nothing that exists is deleted and every dynamic code keeps resolving; you can't create more than the Free plan allows.

3.When we refund

Payments cover the period they're for and aren't normally refunded once that period has started. We will refund:

  • payments taken in error, such as a duplicate charge;
  • the unused part of a period if we remove a paid feature you rely on or can't provide the service for a long time;
  • any payment the law entitles you to get back.

[Owner: decide whether to offer a goodwill refund window, for example for yearly plans cancelled within [14] days.]

4.Right of withdrawal for consumers

If you're a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a contract made online.

If you ask for a paid plan to start straight away and use it during those 14 days, you'll pay for the service provided up to the moment you withdraw. [Owner: confirm this wording with legal advice and add the checkout acknowledgement.]

5.Upgrades and downgrades

When you upgrade, the change applies immediately and you're charged only the difference for the rest of the current period.

When you downgrade, the change applies at the end of the current period. Before you confirm, the app shows every limit the new plan would exceed and what that means.

6.Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, we'll tell you and retry. If it's still unpaid after 14 days, the workspace moves to the Free plan. Printed codes keep working throughout.

7.How to ask for a refund

Contact us through Support, choosing Billing, with your workspace name and the invoice concerned.

Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe. Your bank may take [5–10] working days to show them.
